AUTHORS GUIDELINES
Instruction to Authors and Article Review Process
Article is submitted for publication in this journal on the understanding that the manuscript is authors’ original work and that it has neither been published nor under consideration for publication in another journal. Publication as an abstract in a scientific conference is acceptable. All authors listed on the manuscript must have satisfied criteria for authorship, that is, must have made substantial contribution to the work. They should have contributed to either conception, design, analysis and/or interpretation of data to merit authorship. Contribution to funding or rendering technical services, provision of patients, or materials, may be essential to the work, but are not sufficient contributions to justify authorship. The editorial members will first evaluate all articles submitted for publication for compliance to the journal styles, and if they deem the manuscript appropriate for publishing in the African Journal of Allied Health Sciences, only then will the manuscripts be sent to a minimum of two reviewers for double blind peer assessment. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the article will be further evaluated, and the editor will decide whether to accept, revise, or reject the work.

The African Journal of Allied Health Sciences is self-supporting and expected support from the Institution and TETFund as a result; the journal’s operations are entirely supported by the processing costs that authors pay. The processing fees are necessary to cover operational costs like payroll, internet, power, and other expenses. Producing an article that has undergone peer review, editing, formatting, and preparation for online publication as well as hosting it on a server that is always open and unrestricted costs money. We kindly request that the author, institution, or funding agency pay a nominal charge to assist in defraying the actual cost of the crucial final stage, publication, as a tiny portion of the research expenses. Article processing fee of N30, 000.00 for Nigerian authors or 50 dollars
